Zakumi Consulting is inviting applications for the Septemebr 2011, The Practice Room©, a leadership and development program for community care practitioners. The Practice Room brings together front line practitioners, over a period of time to learn new skills, unravel their practice dilemmas and transfer theory and evidence into their practice.

INVEST IN YOUR OWN TAILOR MADE PRACTICE ROOM

Let us work with you to tailor make your own local Practice Room. We can work with an individual organisation and their team members, or  bring together a number of local services to facilitate a sustainable, community of practice.     

WHO SHOULD APPLY

All front line practitioners and those who supervise them are invited to express an interest in joining the Practice Room© Program including, Case Managers, Care Coordinators, Social/Welfare Workers, Children Service Practitioners, Disability Workers, Youth workers, Community Nurses, Mental Health Workers, Community Based Allied Health Care Workers.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

A 12 week program, that includes:

  • six planned, three hour group sessions, filled with interactive learning, guest speakers, and practice/theory linkages;
  • individual coaching focused on developing practice goals;
  • networking opportunities;
  • access to tools to assist your learning in measuring outcomes and the value of your practice;
  • access to contemporary good practice evidence for community practitioners;
  • opportunity to share experience and ideas with CEO's and community sector leaders with the view of increasing good practice.

PROGRAM DATES AND LOCATIONS

Zakumi Consulting will be hosting 3 separate Practice Room Programs
 
Inner and Southern Sydney Region
Thursday Program beginning Thursday 15th September 2011
through to 1st December 2011  
 
North and North West Sydney Region
Tuesday Program beginning Tuesday 20th September 2011
through to Tuesday 6th December 2011
 
Central West NSW (Orange based) Region
Friday Program beginning Friday 23rd September 2011
through to Friday 9th December 2011   
 
Venues will be finalised after applications are accepted. 

WHAT WILL IT COST

This 12 week Program will cost $1600 plus GST per participant.
