The reforms across social care will continue to change the way services are accessed, funded and delivered. New approaches to care and support, underpinned by individualised funding arrangements will mean the focus on practice will change. Are you ready to transition? Zakumi’s, The Practice Room©, is a leadership and development program for community care practitioners. Bringing together front line practitioners, over two full days to learn new skills, unravel practice dilemmas and transfer theory and evidence into practice.

 

When and where? 

Wednesday 23rd November: 9.30am- 4.30pm

Thursday 24th November: 9.30am- 4.30pm

Who should join the Practice Room©?

All front line practitioners including:

  • case managers; 

  • care coordinators;

  • social/welfare workers; 

  • children service practitioners;

  • disability workers; 

  • youth workers;

  • community nurses;

  • mental health workers; and

  • community based allied health care workers.

 

What you can expect

This two day interactive Program will include group sessions filled with interactive learning, guest speakers and practice/ theory linkages that focus on;

  • Understanding you role in a changing system

  • Adding Value in a changing system

  • Duty of care

  • Work in a person centred way

  • Effective Communication

  • Customer service

  • Taking care of yourself  

 

What will it cost?

This 2 day program costs $500 plus GST per participant
