Our Projects

Different Work Needs a Different Approach

 

The diversity of the social care sector plays out in our day to day work. We are privileged to work with amazing individuals and teams across a range of communities. All are focussed on delivering on their purpose no matter how hard it gets. Here are a few projects we have worked on over the past twelve months.

 

Business Development

  • Engaged as strategic advisors for an assistive technology advisory and leadership agency. This long term engagement involves working the Board, team and customers to build and deliver on a strategy in a rapidly changing (NDIS and Aged Care Reform) context.

 

  • Preferred Consultants for the Specialist Homeless Services Sector Development Project Going Home. In 2014/15 we supported 12 individual organisations develop skills, systems and policies necessary for new contracts established under the Going Home Staying Home (GHSH) reform.

 

  • Engaged as Project Leaders to facilitate the successful amalgamation of two women’s services in Western Sydney. This involved managing the legal process, funding requirements, HR implications and stakeholder management/communications.

 

  • Worked with five different organisations to build their communications strategy and resource their social media, website and client relationship management strategies.

Learning and Development

  • Delivered The Practice Room and The Leaders Room to 85 participants

 

  • Through our Associate, coordinated individual mentoring and coaching programs for senior sector leaders

 

  • Worked with a senior team in a large organisation build a high performing team and culture

 

  • Facilitated conferences and workshops

Interim Management and Resourcing

  • For twelve months Zakumi became part of the senior team of this large social housing provider. Our role was to review the Human Resource requirements of this organisation, develop the HR infrastructure and provide practical HR advice and support. Our work also involved supporting the CEO to recruit and support the newly appointed HR Manager.

 

  • Appointed as Strategic Advisors and Interim CEO of a small, volunteer led agency resourced by philanthropic funds. Our focus was to develop a Theory of Change, secure resources and support a dynamic Board and team of volunteers to move into the their chosen future.

 

  • Engaged as Change Managers and Interim CEO of a large regional-based organisation who’s purpose is to deliver or promote better care in the community.
