Why

There has never been more challenging times than what we face at this moment. The social and community sector has always been in a state of change but with external pressures like rising unemployment, high inflation, higher interest rates, all occurring in an unknown, post-pandemic world, people are facing very uncertain times. The most vulnerable in our community, including older people, people with disability, people with mental health problems, refugees, asylum seekers, those dealing with the impacts of gambling, domestic and family violence, homelessness and an inaccessible physical environment are especially at risk and those organisations that support them need to be ready, focused and courageous.

 

There is a need for fresh thinking, passion, strategic thinking and experienced attention. Zakumi wants to be part of the solution to making things better, as do all those working in the social care sector.  That is why we choose to work with social care businesses that want to make a difference.
